A 1960s 2 bedroom terraced house was decarbonised by accident! Wall-mounted gas heaters were removed in 2010, the gas fire in 2013, and the gas cooker in 2015. The gas meter was removed in 2016 converting the house into a fully electric home with no fixed heating system. In 2025, the Electrification of Heat Demonstration Project assisted in installing an air-to-air heat pump for both heating and cooling.
